Tis The Season

Well, here it is my last Christmas card of 2013.  I am finally caught up in posting all my last minute Christmas cards.  For this one I used this adorable image from Pachela Studios at Cuddly Buddly.  This image is called We Wish You A Merry Christmas.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens.  I started with a light blue card base.  I added a piece of red dot patterned paper that I backed in white card stock. I backed the image and the sentiment in light blue card stock and then again in white.  I added crystal stickles to the snow on the ground of the image. I also added 3 snowflakes below the image and 1 to the upper corner of the image. I added a baby blue rhinestone to the center of each snowflake.

Here is one more Christmas card using CC Designs Heidi With Ornament rubber stamp. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens.  To create this card I started with a lily pond green card base.  I added a piece of plaid purple patterned paper backed in white card stock.  I embossed a smaller piece of white card stock using a Cuttlebug dot embossing folder.  I backed the image in lily pond green card stock and added it to the top. Then I backed the sentiment that I typed on the computer in lily pond green card stock and added it to the bottom.  In between I added a sage green ribbon and bow.  I added crystal stickles to the pixies wings.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I know I'm a few days late on that.  Over the past couple of weeks we have had several snow/ice storms. Due to those storms we have been dealing with power outages and internet issues.  We had yet another one last night and they are calling for another on Thursday!!! I'm definitely ready for summer!!

I have a few cards that I recently made but haven't had a chance to post yet.  Here is the first one that I created using Magnolia's Snowy Hugs Tilda stamp.  This is one of my most favorite Magnolia Stamps. I colored this adorable image using Spectrum Noir pens.  I added glitter to the base of the snowman and the top of his broom and white flocking to both hats.

Back To School

Well, it's that time of year again. The kiddos have headed back for another year of school. My kids have been in school for almost a full 2 weeks now. My son started his sophomore year of high school and my daughter started 4th grade.  School is going really good. They both like their teachers and my son is having a blast in his computer science class that he is taking this year.

This week's challenge at 2 Sisters is to create a card/project with the theme of back to school.  The image I used on my card is Tilda With Bunch Of Roses from Magnolia Stamps. I recently won this stamp and thought this was the perfect time to ink it up.

Square at 2 Sisters

What a crazy week this has been. From doctors appointments to school open houses I've just had no time do be crafty or even get to my posting.  So yet again my challenge post is late this week.  Maybe things will slow down once school starts for my kiddos next week.  Well, I guess better late than never.  Here is my card for this week's square card challenge at 2 Sisters.  There is still time to enter.

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I created this Christmas card using Elisabeth Bell's Lil Lynda's Piano Forte digital stamp. I started with a light blue card base and added a piece of white card stock cut just slightly smaller.  I added light blue dot patterned paper to the top half and blue floral patterned paper to the bottom.  The image is colored using Spectrum Noir pens. I backed the image in light blue and then again in white and added it to the center top of the card.  I punched and layered a strip of white card stock and a piece of light blue card stock using an eyelet lace border punch. I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape and added it just below the image.  To create the flower I layered a light blue paper flower onto a white paper flower and added a glitter snowflake to the center.  I also added two silver bells hanging from the flower.  I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and backed them in light blue card stock.  I added 3 snowflake pearls to the upper corner by the image.

Howdy

I created this 4" x 9" birthday card using Howdy from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I started with a white card base and added a piece of pink plaid glitter paper to the top and a pie of floral white vellum backed in pink card stock to the bottom.  A little over half way down the plaid I added another piece of floral white vellum that I backed in white card stock.  I punched two strips of white card stock using an eyelet lace border punch and added them to both the top and bottom of the pink and vellum strip.  I layered a pink dotted brown ribbon on top of a pink ribbon and added it to the top of the white and vellum strip.  I stamped the birthday sentiment "wishing you a special day to celebrate your birthday!" to the white backed vellum piece.  I colored a large white paper flower using Spectrum Noir PP3 pen then layered a smaller white paper flower onto it with a pink flower button in the center.  I added the flower to the ribbon. I added 5 snowflake white pearls to the bottom of the card and crystal stickles to the image.

Birthday Card

This week's challenge at 2 Sisters Challenges is ANYTHING GOES.  To create my card I used this adorable Elisabeth Bell stamp that was free in a magazine I just purchased.

To create my card I started with a kraft card base and layered a blue floral patterned paper on the top half of the card and a blue dot patterned paper on the bottom half of the card.  The patterned papers were also a free gift with the magazine.  I added a piece of kraft card stock and punched the bottom edge using an eyelet lace border punch.  I added a piece of blue glitter ribbon tape to the top of the piece of kraft card stock.  I colored the image using Spectrum Noir pens and backed it in light blue, kraft and then white.  I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and backed that in light blue and then kraft and added it to the bottom corner of the image.  I added 3 baby blue rhinestones to the upper corner of the image and crystal stickles to the center of the flower on her headband.  I then punched 3 butterflies out of light blue card stock and 3 more out of white and layered a blue onto a white.  I added crystal stickles to the butterflies and mini clear rhinestones to the center of each one.
